Sandeep Nimmagadda
Consultant, Transmission and Interconnection
Sandeep plays a critical role in helping SolUnesco assess interconnection capacity at potential solar development sites. His input—backed by a deep understanding of grid integration issues—is a key element of the development team’s strategic decision-making. Sandeep brings more than 15 years of experience in renewable energy to SolUnesco, and is a hired consultant from Axial Energy, where he serves as vice president of engineering.
In previous roles, Sandeep has helped incubate and grow an energy storage business, led research and development at a microgrid research facility for Texas Tech University, and served as electrical engineering manager overseeing the design of renewable energy power plants.
Sandeep holds a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Texas Tech University and a B.S. in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Anna University. He is passionate about start-ups, renewable energy development, microgrids, electric vehicles, and water conservation.
