  • Construction began in July of 2021 and the project is expected to be operational in early 2023.
  • SolUnesco originated Madison Solar, securing land rights to nearly 700 acres in July 2016, establishing an interconnection queue position with PJM.
  • SolUnesco led efforts, with partner Sol Systems, to achieve a Special Use Permit from Orange County, and then assisted partner Cypress Creek Renewables to achieve DEQ’s Permit by Rule.
  • In 2020, Madison Solar was acquired by Dominion Energy, who is expected to be the long-term asset owner.
  • Dominion Energy has entered into a 15-year power purchase agreement to sell Madison Solar’s electricity to Virginia-based aerospace and defense company, Northrop Grumman.
